Feel good shows about family, found or otherwise, are genuinely one of my favorites.
Because each of them touch on something powerful that we all recognize but rarely think about actively: the power of us.
Yet, Jesus tells us to pray, “Our Father.”
Not “my” Father.
Because Jesus reminds us that we are never truly alone when we are in genuine community.
So even on our worst, most isolated day…when we pray we are reminded that we are not alone in our prayer.
Someone has prayed in accordance with where you are at right now. And they will again. Someone out there has felt your pain, or at least something similar.
That doesn’t diminish or nullify what we are going through…but it is comforting.
My prayer today
Our Father, thank you for connecting us and for being our connection. Even in my lonely moments, my darkest moments, I am so glad that I am reminded that others are there with me, praying with me. Amen.
Remember
You are never truly alone in your prayers. So take the time to personally thank those who have prayed with you and for you in your life.
