Introducing Our Father Daily
Hey there!
My name is Dylan Scott Miller and I am the author of Pray: Letting The Lord’s Prayer Shape the Rhythms of Your Prayer Life.
More importantly, though, I am someone who is trying to find an answer to the question, “How do I pray?”
In my book, I address how Jesus teaches us The Lord’s Prayer as an answer to this question.
But I’m also just a regular human being who struggles.
Prayer is about right relationship with God. It’s about community with God and one another.
Which means that I’m bound to get it wrong.
So join me on this journey as I try to offer some short insights, encouragements, stories, and prayers.
1. Why start up Our Father Daily?
Well, when I started writing Pray it was borne out of a youth sermon series that never got to happen. Then, it became a COVID project. Then, it became something more…
…I realized that, if I believed God was wanting me to write this book and tackle this topic, then I needed to take that seriously.
And there is a lot of times where I still struggle with prayer.

And I wrote a book about it.
So I imagine that, if you are reading this, then you might be struggling, too.
2. Who is Our Father Daily for?
Anyone who is trying to move their faith, their spiritual journey, whatever you want to call it…forward, even if it means stumbling along the way.
3. What will be in Our Father Daily?
Hopefully, plenty of impactful content relevant to your journey.
I love writing and I love email marketing/newsletters…(I have a whole other publication purely on content marketing, if you want to check that out). So a daily newsletter made the most sense for that.
So, with all of that in mind, here is my plan for these newsletters:
Expect a short daily email (between 100-500 words)
Expect a short prayer personally written out and prayed by me, for you and for myself
Expect an insight, tip, or relevant story about the core concepts within The Lord’s Prayer
Expect a reminder to pray on your own
(Being brutally honest here) Expect links to my book or anything else relevant to The Lord’s Prayer that I might find or create
Expect that you can always reply or comment and I will do my best to get back with you (but, if you even think of trying to spam within this community I will not tolerate it and remove you so quickly your head will spin)
4. Do I have to buy the book or pay for anything?
Absolutely not.
Honestly, I hope you will, but all content in Our Father Daily will be freely given.
