Being your best self while at work
If our work is Kingdom work, then we probably should represent the Kingdom well.
There is no surprise here.
If we start to see our everyday work as Kingdom work, then it makes sense that we should want to reflect Jesus while we are at work.
And, listen…
…I am not always on my best behavior at work.
I can be too critical.
Too quick to be sarcastic or mean.
Too negative.
Some of it is in good fun, but some of it isn’t if we are being honest.
If I am being honest…
…so learning how to pray for our best selves at work is an important part of engaging with our Kingdom work and making our prayer for “May your Kingdom come soon” a reality in our own mundane, everyday lives.
My prayer for today
Our Father, help me represent you well today. Give me your wisdom and heart for others. Amen.
Remember
Create a routine where, before starting your work, you pray for God’s Spirit to help you be your best self. Make it a habit.
